A lack of space in both the Biblioteca d’Arte and the Biblioteca Archeologica e Numismatica have recently forced the libraries to move the extensive collections of specialised periodicals to the dedicated detached site: Emeroteca (the Periodicals Library) of via Cimarosa 1, the reading room of which contains around 20 desks.

There are approximately 1600 art magazines of the Biblioteca d’Arte (286 subscriptions of which are still active), over 600 periodicals of varying substance of the Biblioteca Archeologica e Numismatica (200 subscriptions of which are still active), as well as serial collections in paper and electronic format.

The rules and regulations described under the heading Activities and Services in reference to the various libraries of the service also apply to the periodicals library.
